Los Laureles Cabin
Completed in 2015, Los Laureles is one of the newest cabins in Concan; thoughtfully designed, built and furnished by a family native to the area.
Surrounded by mountain laurels, live oaks and some of the oldest persimmon trees you’ll find, Los Laureles is tucked away in Canyon Oaks, Concan’s original subdivision. The oversized wrap-around porches with ceiling fans, outdoor bar and barbecue pit area provides plenty of room for you to enjoy time with family and friends. Inside you’ll find everything you and your guests need to ‘rough it’. Our hill country home features an open living area with a cathedral ceiling and stone accents for hill country charm along with a leather sofa, day bed, stone fireplace, and 50 inch smart tv. The fully appointed kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, plentiful granite counter space, a breakfast bar and dining table. An outdoor shower is located on the back of the house for cleaning up after a day on the Frio river.
Upgraded WiFi and flat screen tvs in each bedroom add to the amenities.
Sleeps 11: three bedrooms with a queen in the master; 1 queen and 1 full in 2nd bedroom and 1 queen in third bedroom. One daybed and sleeper sofa in living room.
The surrounding vista is of rugged hills and starry evenings. Garner State Park, the most visited state park in Texas, is ten minutes away. Concan’s beautiful 18 hole golf course is five minutes away and Lost Maples natural area is forty minutes away and is a great hiking venue. Our cabin is located in “Concan proper”, so there is nearby tank fishing, hayrides, trail rides, shopping, mini golf and tube shuttles. Los Laureles is located in the most beautiful section of the hill country and is a great area for motorcyclists, bicyclists, birdwatchers or hunters. The cabin is an hour and a half from San Antonio, the Texas wine trail, and great antique shopping venues.
No smoking or pets allowed. You will need to bring sheets, bath & kitchen towels, dish & bath soap, plus personal items.
The cabin is just above river road in Canyon Oaks with the Frio River less than two tenths of a mile as a crow flies. The nearest river access is less than 5 minutes away by car or a 10-12 minute walk (Kenneth Arthur Crossing). Additional river access is at 7 Bluff Crossing – less than 10 minutes away by car and shuttle bus service is available from multiple tubing companies (i.e. Andy’s, Fat Rob’s and Neal’s).
