Johnson Ranch

Location(s):
Johnson Ranch is located in Uvalde County, Texas on 4,000 plus acres of prime hunting ground, which has been family-owned and operated since 1945. Johnson Ranch is a working family farm with an emphasis on establishing a habitat for native wildlife and game birds, and at the same time, a profitable agri-business. They have been featured in “Texas Highways” magazine and was selected by the Uvalde Chamber of Commerce as a “host” ranch for the Texas Outdoor Writers’ Association.

The ranch donates to numerous charities and is a founding member of the Dove Sportsman’s Society.

Our personal service, combined with our old-fashioned “Texas” hospitality, provide a memorable outdoor experience in a one-of-a-kind setting.

TERRAIN/VEGETATION:
The scenic Johnson Ranch offers 12 miles of Frio River frontage in addition to four stock tanks. The Ranch is covered with typical South Texas Mesquite and Huajillo as well as oak, cypress, and pecan trees, native grasses, and various species of cactus. A diversified terrain of rolling hills, high river banks, bluffs, senderos and draws create an incredible habitat for whitetail deer, turkey, quail, whitewing and mourning dove. Numerous cultivated fields, including Milo, Sunflower, Dove Weed & Sesame add to the variety of vegetation at Johnson Ranch.
