This large, historic family compound never-before in the rental community, is located between River Road and a private country lane that leads directly to the Frio River, which is within walking distance. There are a total of four homes surrounding a large deep water pool nestled on several lushly landscaped acres of Palm trees and agaves. There is a fun-filled tree house and old fashion tire swing for the kids in the front yard, while the backyard has picnic tables, horse shoes, tether ball, fire pit, BAR-B-Q, relaxing wide porches, tables and chairs, with lots of lounge chairs surrounding it’s impressive brand new pool and the internet is provided. River Rock House The picturesque main house was built over 100 years ago with river rock and charming plantation shutters. Light and airy, the interior white and cream colors are accented by original wood floors, while the country kitchen has 14 foot ceilings, stainless gas stove and built-in furniture cabinets. There is a laundry room with stainless, front loader washer/dryer, sink and toilet. The back hallway is lined with wooden pegs for all your pool towels to hang dry. The large dining room and kitchen have white tile floors and the dining tables can seat 20, with a flat screen TV for the cook and those who want to eat and relax. The large main bedroom has a romantic king size plantation four poster bed and two fun built-in bunk beds with room for the kids suitcases in their cubby holes. The main bathroom is large, white and has a tile shower/tub, Mexican cabinet furniture and swimming pegs on the back of the door for more towels. Finally, the sunroom has original high ceilings, wood floors, fan and huge flat screen HD TV. There are 9 windows to drench the room in morning sunlight and plantation shutters to cool the room in the afternoon. Cottage A private wide porch with table and chairs with pretty wicker chairs lead to the master suite cottage. The gorgeous, large master bedroom has a romantic white rock fireplace and 20’ foot ceilings all painted in white, with wooden floors. There is a large, walk-in tile shower with river rock floor, with open beam ceiling. Outside the shower are lots of towel pegs, while the bathroom has tall ceilings, wooden pegs for wet swimsuits and tile floor. The king size four poster bed is situated in front of floor to ceiling windows, with a high, pillow top mattress that overlooks the swimming pool. A cute daybed is in the alcove and a flat screen tv. The cottage is very special. Bunk House This small, but cozy bunkhouse has a set of French doors that lead into one room with a high ceiling, three sets of bunk beds and a wall mounted flat screen TV for the kids to game or just hang out. Barn House Sure it was an old barn, but wow look at it now! A large, wide covered porch sits directly in front of the swimming pool for moms to relax, cook and watch the kids swim. Two sets of white French doors lead into the cream colored large, second kitchen with stainless appliances of double oven, gas stove/oven, double sink, refrigerator and wood floors. There is a large stainless steel center island with barstools, outside stereo system and flat screen TV. The bedroom has high ceilings and two sets of bunk beds, while the barn bath is very charming with high ceilings, river rock shower and more swim towel pegs. Overall, this beautiful compound situated on over 6 acres is one of the best locations on River road - lots of outside relaxation and play areas, tons of charm, lazy southern porches and a beautiful, private backyard oasis. Additionally, when the evening arrives the entire property illuminates with hundreds of 1950’s car lot lights that when combined with the radiance of the pool lights give rise to Disney-like magical feel throughout the compound.
